Passionate. Creative. Focused. A prolific writer, Claire is a screenwriter, journalist, author and board game designer. She also occasionally directs short films, music videos and documentaries, and hosts an ongoing documentary series.

She began her career as a freelance journalist, writing for international film & media magazines SciFiNow and Death Ray, as well as a host of websites including Nerd Like YouSyFy onlineInfinity Plus, and Broad Universe. She has also written on a wide variety of other topics, such as architecture, interior design, travel, food, and the international property market.

She enjoyed three years as Features & Production Editor for Matrix Magazine, the British SF Association's media publication, and wrote several articles for Matrix's sister publication Vector.

Her involvement in Britain's SF scene lead to her joining the judging panel for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the UK's most prestigious award for science fiction literature, in 2007 and 2008. SciFiNow interviewed her about her experiences as an Award judge in their April 2009 issue.

Since relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film & television industry, she has been featured in the Black List's 2016 TV Writers Staffing Book and she made the Tracking Board's Young & Hungry List of 100 writers on the verge. She wrote for Toon Goggle's EDDIE IS A YETI, and co-created a four-part Virtual Reality mini-series for YouTube called INTO THE BLIND. She currently has several feature and TV projects in development.

In 2015-2016, she co-hosted a podcast with her good friend and fellow screenwriter, Kelly Rhone. They discussed a wide range of topics including movies, writing, comics and life in Los Angeles. The pair had previously collaborated on a short film, a spoof of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD titled "GOT FURY?"

In 2017, Claire launched a paranormal investigation series, EERIE CALIFORNIA, which delves into the weird, the unexplained and the downright scary at various locations in California and beyond. Also on the spooky side, she also contributed to "Celebrity Ghosts & Notorious Hauntings", an upcoming non-fiction book to be published by Visible Ink Press in late 2019.

Claire was a contributing writer to "Rediscovery: Science Fiction Women" (Journey Press, published 2019), penning an introduction to the short story The Deer Park by Maria Russell.

In her spare time, Claire directs the occasional music video, is a guerrilla artist, and puts her British accent to good use as the frontman of Britpop cover band The Northern Cockneys. She is also exploring her musical creativity in another band, (pronounced "Milgram", as in Stanley), and she is developing a board game for game company Lost Cartographer.
